BritBox added to DStv

MultiChoice Group has expanded its content offerings on the DStv Explora Ultra and DStv Streama boxes by introducing BritBox, the collaborative streaming video service between the BBC Studios and ITV in the UK. Users can now add BritBox to their DStv bills for R100/month, which is the same price as a standalone BritBox subscription. Unlike before, BritBox no longer offers annual subscriptions.

To promote this addition, the DStv website has started advertising the availability of BritBox. MultiChoice is offering a standard seven-day trial to new users, after which the monthly fee will be charged until the service is canceled.

This move follows the previous introduction of Disney+ on the DStv platform last year, along with other popular streaming services like YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and MultiChoice's own Showmax subscription video-on-demand service.

BritBox features a range of popular shows, including Unforgotten, Shetland, Vera, Doc Martin, and the British version of The Office. The streaming service is accessible in several countries, including South Africa, the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and Norway. It was initially launched in South Africa in 2021. © 2023 NewsCentral Media.
